Speedtrace and GSCM Frequently Asked Questions

What are the system requirements?
As long as you have access to an internet browser such Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape or Internet Explorer 6.0 (or a more recent version) you should have no problem signing on.

How do I set up an account?
Please contact your local Speedmark sales or customer service representative who will set you up with a user name and password.

Should I set up a Speedtrace or G.S.C.M. account? Can I set up both?
Your Speedmark Sales or Customer Service representative will go over your current account, the business that you forecast, and your needs. Together you will arrive on a track and trace or supply chain management tool that fits your needs and your business. If both types of accounts will serve your business, we are happy to set you up with both services.

How do I change my password?
To change your password in the Speedtrace system, please go to the “Manage Log-In” section. Click “Username” and enter your new password. You may also set up new users in this section for your company.

How do I track my shipment?
The main Web Tracking page allows the user to search shipments separately from equipment or order numbers. Search capabilities have been expanded and separated rather than grouped into one multi-purpose search engine.

1. Sign on to Speedtrace using your secure sign on and password.
2. When first logging into Web Tracking, the main screen defaults to the Advanced Shipment search filter. To search for a particular shipment, enter the search criteria within that first tab.
3. The Shipment Search screen allows the user to search by different reference numbers (i.e. File Number, Master Bill, House Bill, Booking Number, etc.). The user can enter a specific date range, filter by module (Import, Ocean Export, etc.) or search for a certain shipper, commodity, or consignee.
4. Once the search results appear, the user is given a listing of all files pertaining to the search criteria entered.
5. The client can access a specific shipment by clicking the link in the Reference Number column. When the link is clicked, the shipment details can be viewed.
6. From here, the user is able to view container information, check status and print documents. If the shipment has containers associated, the user can click the “Container Content” tab (circled in red in the illustration above) to view detailed container information.
7. The “Container Content” Information screen shows a general summary of all containers entered on that particular file. To view more detailed container information, the user can click the container number (circled in red in the illustration above). For more information, please contact Speedmark Sales Rep.

How do I use your P.O. Management tool?
